I absolutely must pay respects for everyone affected by 9/11. The last week of October in 2001 just less than two months after 9/11, SUGOI offered to send me to NYC to help raise money for the families affected by Sept 11. I absolutely wanted to help. I’ve never experienced anything like the atmosphere traveling there with such high security. There was a lot of tension in the airports and on the plane. When I arrived in New York everything changed. Seeing the faces, the city, still full of debris and dust. The memorials all over the streets. Everyone supporting one another. The stories from everyone who experienced such a tragedy was overwhelming. It was amazing to see everyone at the race and hear their stories and see how the people bonded together, supported one another to overcome something so horrific. It absolutely changed my life. The people of New York just amazed me.

- NYC 2001 – Paying Respects
Today is a good day. It’s already been so much fun. Not just because I took a day off training and was dancing at my desk for five minutes. My hip flexor is a bit tender from dancing to sir-mix-a-lot a couple nights ago……..brutal. I can’t believe I was that sore from an hour of fun dancing with my daughter in our living room. We were having so much fun just being goofy and the next morning I could barely get out of bed to go for a swim.
